While you’re waiting for the Mr New to come along why not take this as an opportunity to improve yourself. Take the time and effort to do something you’ve only ever dreamed about and get on with it. It could be new skills, somewhere you’ve wanted to visit, that elusive dream, just go for it. If you want to improve yourself or your life in some way now is the time. Try and find some way to use this time and all that negative energy and turn it into something positive.

There are some people who will never understand depression and crazy and we must be careful about who we tell. No matter how much education there is on this disorder, these are still very personal details about yourself and others. The lack of understanding from other people can turn out to be very hurtful for the person who is bipolar.
This article is about lots of fun. I’m not being sarcastic. Bipolar personalities are incredibly fun to be with, creative, and know how to make you feel like a million bucks. Many things that you hated in the past (like shopping) become fun. The manic depressive personality can be very spontaneous-flirting and kissing in public. They can’t get enough of you and you can’t get enough of them.
Such patients often become too generous and gift away their treasured items or things that they just can not afford to give away. Though, later they also regret their actions.
Life is full of hardships, including illness. We don’t have to like them but we do need to own them. I have asthma, a temperamental back and a bum hip. I also have dark hair, a love of gardening and an affection for my electric blanket on cold, winter nights. This is who I am. If you have cancer or lupus or need dialysis, don’t stuff this part of you into the shadows. You are who you are and every experience adds to the picture. Believe me, I am not saying that there is some magical gift to be found in your illness (although sometimes that does happen). But I am saying that you need to wrap your arms around ALL of yourself – even the parts that you wish were different.
Sleeping is something that can come very hard during times of mania. One of the main symptoms of mania is that of a racing mind. For me this seems to be more of a problem at night when things start to get quiet. During these nights with no sleep is when I often find myself getting the majority of my homework and creative writing done. The quiet is sometimes good for me, but i find myself needing to have noise of some kind just so my mind will stop wandering.
